What citrusmotors.com is telling us before the rebuild

Our analysis of the Google Analytics 4 data from the one-page site we launched with you in December 2025, prepared to help you and your new website partner start from evidence instead of assumptions.

The short version

We built your current site as a focused, one-page front door for Citrus Motors. By design, it doesn't hold inventory, specials, or service tools; those live on your Ford and Kia sites. Its job is to show shoppers why Citrus Motors is different and can be trusted, then hand them to the right brand site or a phone call. The data confirms it is doing that job and reaching the right people from the right places, and it points to clear opportunities for your next site to build on that foundation.

44%

Of visits clicked through to Kia or Ford

From July 21 to September 20, 325 visits included a click to Citrus Kia and 259 to Citrus Ford, together equal to 44% of all visits. Shoppers get the Citrus Motors story first, then move on to shop the right brand, which is exactly the experience this page was designed to create.

5×

Longer engagement from search visitors

Visitors who first found you through search averaged 26 seconds of engagement, against 5 seconds for referral visitors. Google visits engaged at 56.8%, well above the site average of 41.3%.

~1 in 5

Visits come from your showroom's own Wi-Fi

About 1,100 visits arrived through a guest Wi-Fi sign-in page, which lines up with the 1,100+ visitors located in Ontario. These are customers already on the lot, an in-person touchpoint your next site can build on.

How they arrive, and which arrivals matter

For a page built to introduce Citrus Motors and hand shoppers off to your brand sites, where visitors come from matters more than raw volume.

77%

Engagement from CarGurus visitors

CarGurus sent 297 visits, and they engaged at the highest rate of any source. Those inbound links need to keep working after the rebuild, ideally landing somewhere more useful than a homepage.

101

Visits from SchoolsFirst FCU

A credit union referral with 49.5% engagement suggests an auto-buying partnership. Partner audiences like this often convert well and deserve a dedicated landing experience.

16%

Of search visits come from Bing and Yahoo

Google leads with 1,545 visits, but Bing (184) and Yahoo (106) are too large to ignore, and both engage above your site average. Bing Places listings and Bing Webmaster Tools belong in the launch checklist.

An early signal worth building for

Three visitors first found you through AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Gemini. The number is tiny, but the channel didn't exist in reporting a short time ago. Shoppers are starting to ask AI tools which dealer to visit, and those tools answer from well-structured, crawlable pages.

Where visitors go next

Your homepage has two jobs: show shoppers why Citrus Motors is different, then get them to the right brand. The outbound click data shows both happening.

Between July 21 and September 20, visits that clicked through to Citrus Kia (325) and Citrus Ford (259) added up to 44% of all visits to the site. Nearly the same number of people chose each brand: 192 for Kia and 187 for Ford.

Intent is clear, too. About half of all clicks went to new-vehicle inventory, nearly a third to used vehicles, and about 1 in 7 to service. That order is a strong guide for how your new homepage and navigation should prioritize each path.

Homepage directions we'd explore with you

Using what your data shows about how shoppers arrive and what they're looking for, we sketched three directions for your new homepage. Each leads with a different strength of Citrus Motors, and all three are built to get shoppers where they're going within seconds.

A. Choose your brand

A split hero puts Citrus Ford and Citrus Kia side by side, each with one-tap paths to new, used, and service. It carries forward the front-door role your current site plays so well, with the brand choice made in the first second.

B. Search first

Inventory search becomes the hero, backed by quick tiles for each brand, service, and financing. Your search visitors are already your most engaged audience, and a 700-vehicle selection gives shoppers a reason to come back throughout their research.

C. Local proof

Leads with your reputation and your location: review scores, one-tap directions, and the communities you serve. It turns your strongest differentiator into the first thing shoppers see and strengthens local search across the Inland Empire.

Concept A, brought to life in the Citrus Motors brand

Here is how the "Choose your brand" direction could look in full, built on your PMS 350 green and PMS 151 orange and combined with the local proof from Concept C and a starring role for Bob. Your brand video stays in the hero, where it introduces the Citrus Motors difference in the first seconds, while the Kia and Ford paths sit right beside it so shoppers never have to choose between the story and the inventory.

PMS 350PMS 151

On every phone, the next step stays in reach

Whichever direction you choose, we'd pair it with a sticky action bar on mobile: call Ford, call Kia, or get directions, always one tap away. Your visitors decide quickly, averaging about 11 seconds per session, so the actions that turn a visit into a call or a showroom trip should never be more than a thumb's reach away.

The same bar can adapt by context. Shoppers on your showroom Wi-Fi could see service specials and a prompt to leave a review instead of directions.

Our recommendations for your new website

Listed in priority order. Share these with your new website partner; the first three build on the traffic your site already earns, and the rest shape how the new site is built.

  1. Expand measurement as the site grows

Your current site already tracks the moment shoppers choose Kia or Ford, which is how we know 44% of visits click through to a brand site. As your new site grows into a full shopping experience, measurement should grow with it. We recommend reporting these actions from day one, each tagged by brand (Ford or Kia):

    ActionWhat it tells you
Phone tapCall demand by brand and department, the most common dealership lead
Inventory clickNew, used, and service intent, split between Ford and Kia
Directions requestShowroom visit intent tied to your Guasti Road location
Form submissionContact, finance, and trade-in lead volume
Reviews clickHow much the 4.7-star reputation drives engagement

  2. Keep the Citrus Motors story front and center

Your homepage video introduces the people, the legacy, and the friendlier way Citrus Motors does business before a shopper ever sets foot on the lot. That is the heart of what this site was built to do: break down the "I hate car buying" barrier and show why Citrus Motors is different. The story and the shopping paths already work side by side, with visits that clicked through to Kia or Ford adding up to 44% of all traffic.

We recommend keeping brand video in the hero of your new site, delivered the way high-performing sites do it: a short, muted loop behind a lightweight poster image that appears instantly, a compressed version sized for mobile, the full story with sound one tap away, captions for silent viewing, and shopping buttons visible over the video from the first second.

  3. Connect every TV spot to a matching web experience

Your TV viewers are real shoppers in your core markets, and the new site should greet them with exactly what they just saw. Give each featured offer, like the Sportage, K4, and Mustang lease spots or the Pre-Owned event, its own landing page with the same vehicle, price, and Bob-led look as the ad. Most viewing happens in the evening, when people reach for their phones, so those pages should load fast and put the offer and a call button first.

The same work makes TV's impact easier to see: a short, memorable web address or QR code in select spots, verified-visit tracking from the TV platform across all three websites, and a monthly view of searches for "Citrus Motors," "Citrus Kia," and "Citrus Ford." Together they connect what people watch to what they do next.

  4. Treat guest Wi-Fi visitors as their own audience

Point the Wi-Fi sign-in page to a dedicated URL tagged with a campaign source, then filter it out of shopper reporting. That page can serve people standing in the showroom with service specials, trade-in tools, and a prompt to leave a review, turning in-store visits into a useful touchpoint.

Owner: your IT team and new website partner

  5. Protect every inbound link during the move

CarGurus, SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union, and Instagram are all sending you visitors today. Audit inbound links before launch, keep or redirect every URL they use, and consider partner landing pages that speak directly to credit union members.

    Owner: your new website partner

  6. Build for local search across the Inland Empire

Search visitors are the most engaged audience on your site. Give them content that names the communities you serve, dealership structured data, and one consistent name, address, and phone number everywhere. Confirming your Guasti Road address across Google, Bing, and directory listings will strengthen local rankings.

Owner: your new website partner and SEO lead

  7. Make answers easy for AI assistants to find

Hours, locations, brands carried, service options, and inventory should live in plain, crawlable text with structured data, not only inside images, sliders, or video. The same work helps traditional search.

    Owner: your new website partner

  8. Decide how the three websites work together

Your shoppers move between citrusmotors.com, citrusford.com, and citruskia.net. Whether the new site consolidates these or keeps them separate, the experience should feel like one Citrus Motors, and cross-domain measurement should follow each shopper from first visit to lead.

Owner: your leadership team and new website partner

  9. Carry the mobile-first approach forward

Most dealership shoppers browse on their phones. As your new site adds inventory and tools, keep click-to-call and directions within thumb's reach, as shown in the mobile concept above, deliver video and images in sizes built for mobile connections, support pinch-to-zoom for accessibility, and test every tap target on a real phone before launch.
